1. Specialized field
My specialized field is the analysis of policies for agriculture and
agricultural communities and the development of agriculture
structure in the EU and Germany, with comparison with those in
Japan. I also do corroborative research into the development of
agricultural administration, and change in agricultural communities
in Japan following World War II.

2. Brief personal history
1960 Born in Tokyo.
1982 Graduated from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Tokyo
(major: sociology).
1985 Graduated from the Faculty of Letters and Education of
Ochanomizu University (master of social philosophy).
Began employment with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
Posted to the National Research Institute of Agricultural Economics (NRIAE)
